I love the Norfolk Locker Room. I love the S21 Draftees brought it to life in a way I never expected and could only dream of. They’re all a wonderful talkative bunch who love and support each other. Even through the losses and the pandemic they’ve done nothing but show support and encourage one another to succeed. I think Norfolk has become a place where anyone can help other with builds, and a free place to discuss their NSFL/DSFL careers. Multiple players have stepped up to become contributors as either Media Graders like Tesla or others have looked into how to sim or stream. Besides that the locker room is always full of energy and conversation about life for all of them. Even when I can’t keep up with the conversation I love just watching them all talk and the love and energy they put into one another.
I think it’s becoming what I want to see out of a DSFL Locker room. A place of support where the players can help each other get ready for their NSFL career, and not be focused on the victories. They love winning, don’t get me wrong, but losing in the playoffs didn’t kill the locker room, in fact I think once the games were out of the way people came out more to talk about the next steps in their careers and some even stepped forward to volunteer to join the War Room and help breed the next class of rookies. It’s become better than I ever could have hoped, and I love it.
