I think that lowering the threshold for auto-retirement to 80 isn't the best idea - because A) no NSFL team will want to use them, even if they are planning on max earning throughout the season; B) they can't be sent down due to eligibility rules, so there is a possibility they sit as a free agent all season; and C) since there is no limit on how long someone can stay in the DSFL anymore, a lot of DSFL players would regress and still be able to play, which would make it easier to play inactive players over active ones, which is something we don't want to happen
Solution 2, however, is a much more interesting proposition. Is it doable? Probably, if that is something GMs and other HO members are interested in then that may be a discussion we have or even possibly a rule proposal. If we have a rule saying you can play 15 seasons, might as well make it possible imo
Great work!
