I think some of the numbers you said are interesting for sure and might need to be looked at

That being said, we essentially made regression so strict in the late game for this exact reason. Player turnover is a very healthy thing for the league. Football is hard to get exactly right on player career, because certain positions age very differently. But in general, after a certain healthy amount of time, we want people moving on to a new player. 15 season careers are something we didnt want when we made the regression rules.
