Really fun to read and thanks for the shout out @LordMacharius. Loved my time in New Orleans and getting my first ever championship after 9 sim seasons in multiple leagues, but I'm also even more reenergized to be helping the Hahalua build for the future. Hope I get to end my career here.
A little more personal insight on the New Orleans choice to leave me unprotected. All just from my own pondering and not based on New Orleans comments. There was a time I thought I'd go IA in the NSFL due to personal time availability and stepping up to be an expansion GM myself in the PBE. (Wow, what a lot more work than GMing in the minors, but tons of fun!) I was pretty clear with NO that I would be stepping back. @TomHanks was able to get me to update just a bit more before going IA, which I was happy to do, but then I saw that I could keep my updating up after all. So, even though I really never stopped earning, if you can only protect 7 guys and you are stacked like an Ultimus champion, wouldn't you maybe leave my player unprotected?
So, all continued success to New Orleans (unless they face Honolulu), but I'm ecstatic to be a Hahalua and am looking forward to a long career here.
