8. Revenge
The New Orleans Second Line are Ultimus Champions once again. The Otters have lost their 2nd straight playoff game to Second Line. The Otters had managed to win back the ASFC top spot going into the playoffs as the Second Line had fell apart down the stretch after a 9-0 start. The Otters were one of their losses down stretch as their season seemingly crumpled before their eyes. The Second Line stumbled down the stretch and had to play in the wild card game as the Otters were sitting tight at home, one game away from an Ultimus and the start of another possible Ultimus streak. After the Second Line managed to get past the wild card round, they had to go into Otters stadium and win, and they did. The game was an overtime thriller. After a season that went from undefeated hopes to having to fight to get to the Ultimus, the Second Line definitely deserved it for their mental toughness. It doesn’t change the fact the Otters have lost two straight playoff games to their rivals. Next season, Armstrong hopes to get revenge against the Second Line. The Second Line are one of the few teams who’ve managed to always slow down Armstrong and he hopes to slow them down in turn next season.
9. Dynasty
The Orange County Otters are the cream of the crop in the NSFL. They’ve won 9 Ultimus trophies and are looking for the elusive number 10 and Franklin Armstrong’s 4th. Armstrong has been sitting on the couch for the past two Ultimus championship’s. There was a stretch from S14-S19 where Armstrong played in every single Ultimini and Ultimus championship. To be Frank, there has been a dynasty revolving around one player for the past 7 seasons and that’s Franklin Armstrong. He’s won 5 total MVPs in the past 7 seasons as well. He’s led his teams to 6 championship games. Franklin Armstrong is the current dynasty leading the greatest franchise in NSFL history looking to extend their own dyntasy. 10 championships in 22 seasons is the goal for Franklin Armstrong. Honestly his goal is to retire with 6 championships. There was seemingly a good chance of that by starting off with 3 but the past two seasons have ended in heart break. He’ll have to really put the team on his back to win some more Ultimus’s and he plans to do that. He’s chasing Mike Boss and he knowns he’ll never beat his volume numbers, but he does plan to win more accolades. He’s already matched his MVP record, and he’s quite a few behind his QBotY record but he’s chasing that too, and more rings. The Mike Boss vs Franklin Armstrong debate will be very interesting in the coming seasons.
13. Interview a Star I interviewed @LordMacharius
1. Do you expect to win any awards in this year's award show?
Actually, I'd be shocked if I win any awards for the award show this year. This year was statistically my worst regular season — lots of mouths to feed again, like Tijuana. But next year I'm looking to bounce back in a big way.
2. What does NOLA have to do to repeat as Ultimus champions next season?
For New Orleans to repeat the Ultimus, it would take a lot. I'm not trying to get caught talking down at my old team, especially after the season we just had, but It's really going to be a struggle for them in my opinion. First off, there's been a slew of retirements — 3 lost key pieces on the defense in Johnny Slothface, Bjorn Ironside, and Blake Faux. Additionally, losing a couple of really solid young pieces in the expansion draft has got to hurt. Obviously I want to believe that Mack was the impact loss, but honestly I'd say losing Jed hurts more — for a WR corps as thin as they were, Jed was a priority target along with Noka. Losing the 2 of that 1-2 punch gotta hurt.
3. What are your goals for next season?
Goals for the next season are going to really be interesting for me. I think I'll be playing a very different position so I'm thinking my numbers are going to be much bigger than they were with the second line. I'm hoping to record my first career interception — that would be huge.
4. How do you feel about your new team?
I feel really good about the Hahalua. Dwyer and Raven are both very talented GMs (and one was even commish for a while) and the team is young and hungry. So long as activity levels stay up, we're going to be a force in 2 or 3 seasons — count on it.

1. After losing to the Second Line in the ASFC finals, what do the Otters need to do to win a 4th Ultimus in 5 years?
The Otters need to dictate the game as opposed to letting New Orleans dictate the game. That was a very winnable game but we decided to forgo the run game and make Armstrong throw 40 attempts. 40 attempts is more attempts in a game then their previous 13 games.
2. What excites you the most about the next season?
I look forward to have another dominating season next year. I look forward to getting back on the field and winning football games. The ticker has started on the end of Armstrong’s career and I look forward to see where he finishes his legacy when he crosses the finish line.
3. What are Armstrong's goals for the next year?
Armstrong’s goals for next year include, 500 yards rushing with at least 5 TD runs. On the passing side, 3000 yards with 25 TD passes and less than 5 interceptions. I also hope to have over 60% completions again. I also want to win some more awards. I hope to win a 4th straight MVP to break the record that I now share with Mike Boss of 3 straight MVP awards. Of course, the number one goal is to win some more championships.
4. Which expansion team do you think will be poised to compete earlier based off the expansion draft?
I’m not sure, but I guess Honolulu looks kind of good since they have Havran, and they picked up my guy Banks who’s a great receiver. I’m just glad to see this league getting bigger and bigger.
