9. I am not currently on a team as I am just about to be drafted into the DSFL in another week. I guess I could count the time that I have spent on the Dallas Birddogs which would be valid for the purposes of this ultimis week prompt but I do not want to do that because then I would have to give actual reasoning to my argument and I do not feel like doing that right now. Plus I do not know if I will still be on the Dallas Birddogs next season so why would I make an argument saying that they will be a dynasty when I may have to then compete against that said dynasty. In truth, it does not really matter what the teams in the DSFL look like because the only thing that matters is if I am on their team. That is right, which ever team I get drafted to will be a dynasty for years to come. As an offensive lineman, I am pretty much the most important player on the field. If I do not like my quarter back then guess what; they are going to be sacked every play. Whatever team drafts me wil have a great player and that is why they will be a dynasty. There is also always the chance that I go IA at some point so the team that drafts me may get a player for life.
11. A lot of the prompts for this ultimis week were probably intended for people that were on teams and could speak to certain things like stats or other people in the league or the downfall of democracy in the 13th century. You know, simulation football things. I do not really see many prompts for people like me do not really give a shit about the league (sorry @bex) or at the very least are new players to the league and may not know a whole lot about the stuff that goes on here. This is why instead of naming a team or a player my enemy, I am naming the entire NSFL my enemy. Now, this could also be due to the fact that I am very involved in another simulation league, the Pro Baseball Experience, but maybe it is also because this league is doo doo. Like what even is the sim software thing here? Suuuuure, you can blame it on the fact that there has not been a better alternative developed and it is really just shitty luck that there is nothing better but I think we all know that it is the NSFL’s fault. Try harder next time. So yeah, the entire NSFL is my enemy. Or rival. Whatever the prompt was asking. Also, weedle a bitch.
17. The screen is dark. Not quite pitch black but dark enough to where you can not really see what is going on in the picture. Although you can not see anything you can still hear something. It is a faint sound but it quickly gets louder. You think to yourself: “what is going on?”. It sounds like there are people playing tennis. But in the dark? Who the hell plays tennis in the dark. The whole point of tennis is that you can see the ball and know where to go to hit it. You decide that the commercial is not about people playing tennis in the dark. But what could it be if not tennis? You continue to hear the grunting of two people. The grunts start slow but they speed up a bit and become more intense as each second passes. After 10 seconds into the commercial the grunting has become very audible and you start to worry if your neighbors can hear you watch TV but you are confused as to why you would be worrying when you are just watching the Disney channel. The screen becomes lighter and the product being sold to you in the commercial becomes clear. Trojan condoms, presented by Dick Thruster.
Interview with a star. I interviewed @bex so idk if the whole star thing counts or not.
1. As someone who is new to the NSFL, what is one thing that I should know about the league?
I think one fighting that everyone should know is that there is no one "right" way to be in the league. If you want to maximize your TPE earning and write media daily? Great, there's room for that. Want to hang around the locker room and just do ACs and training? That's okay too! Anyone can find a space here.
2. What is more important to GMs, high Discord activity or making money?
I think this depends on the GM. Ideally, there's some form of balance to be found here and you can get both. I know for me, I'm more likely to notice a huge discord presence right away, while it might take me some time to realize how much money someone is making. If you're wanting to get noticed right away? Discord. If you want to prove you're worth continued interest? Make a bit of money too.
3. In what ways does the league encourage retention and what could be done to improve those numbers?
I think retention is always the goal. Part of the reason for our recent expansion is retention: People want play time and need spaces to play. I think we've worked and continue to work to provide guidance on how the league works to try to get people to stick around. We are a really welcoming bunch and do as much as we can to get new people engaged right away.
4. Hypothetically, if someone was a GM in the league before but was fired by a past HO administration, how likely could they get another GM or HO job where they don't have to do anything but they still get paid?
I think we as a league are really looking to reward effort. We appreciate people who go above and beyond. Given the current league job market, I don't think that such a person, if they were to exist, would easily find success with this strategy.
