Offensive Comparison.
It's a showdown between two of the best quarterbacks in the league. Chris Orosz of the Yellowknife Wraiths and Logan Noble of the Colorado Yeti. These two quarterbacks have the best stats in the regular season. Their ratings are super close, with Orosz leading with 77.6 and Noble behind him with 77.2. They both have started in all 14 games. Noble has 1 more TD and 1 less Int than Orosz. But Orosz has a better pass completion pct than Noble by a very small margin and had more passing yards than him. So those two have a similar and they both finished with a 8-6 record this season. This series will prove who is the best quarterback in the league. In every football series, there's always a quarterback who play well during the game but the other quarterback would prove to be the best at the end of the game. Both QB plays well at home. So Noble and the Yeti are probably the favorite to win. But Orosz is not a type of player to back down that easily. They will both give us a great match and one will be declared the best QB in the league.
Defensive Comparison.
There's two cornerbacks in the league that have almost the same stats. Alex Hayden and Dermot Lavelle proved themself to be the best shutdown corner in the league after a successful season for both of them. They both had 4 interceptions and 18 passes defenfed. Those two can take out the best WR in the league. Dermot Lavelle has the chance to practice with his teammate Josh Garden, who's the best WR in the league. But Hayden has already shown us in the past that he can shutdown Garden. But LeClair can cause trouble for the Yeti so it's going to be a problem for the Yeti. Who Hayden should shutdown? The same goes for Lavelle. The Yeti have also a duo WR. Both of them play at the same pace and can be as good as Garden. But their playstyle might differ so it won't the same as during the practice for Lavelle. Also, both Hayden and Lavelle are strong on the blitz. The coach will need a plan against these two. They are both fast and strong. Hayden had 63 tackles which is the second most for a CB and Lavelle had 57. They will gave the QB a lot of problems in the series. It's very possible that the game will have a low percentage of pass completion.
Bottom Third.
When you look at the regular season standings, you see 4 teams that have the same record and 2 teams that have the same record but it's worst than the top 4. Why the Baltimore Hawks and the San Jose Sabercats failed to make the playoffs? First of, Baltimore has a terrible defensive team. They allowed the most yards and touchdown. They don't great talent on the backfield and upfront. They know what they have to do during the offseason. They are currently in a rebuild mode, trading away their DB. They have a good quarterback and some good wide receivers but they also need to focus on the offensive line. Sharpei will enter the S2 draft so they don't have much on the front. For
San Jose Sabercats, they have done a great in acquiring Ethan Hunt. Their offense started to get going. Before the trade, their offense was terrible. James Christ was possibly the worst QB. He has only won 1 game in 9 starts. He has more turnovers than touchdown. How are you supposed to win with this QB. The quarterback is most respected position in this game. They are the one who lead the offense and the flow of the game. You don't have a good quarterback than good luck at winning a game. Now it would be a challenge for the Sabercats after the comment from Ethan Hunt about wanting to leave the team and Bowers Jr. getting trade. They need to bring back their offense at a top level.
Future Talent.
Blaster Blade was a great pick up for the Arizona Outlaws. They added that can compete on the same level as superstar Jayce Tuck. Both of them looks like an unstoppable combination. They had 25 sacks combined which by far the most from tag team DE. Blaster Blade loves to play with high speed. He's very good at faking and making smooth spin move to get by the OL. He strength is the toughest part to handle. He can rush in the middle and stop the running game. He accumulated 47 tackles during his campaign and 17 tackles for loss. He's lucky to play with Jayce Tuck. Learning from the best, it's not everyone that get this chance. Now he will become a veteran to a new team. I don't think he should be considered as a rookie. He showed that he was mature and can become a leader for a team. I think he can compete against Jayce Tuck for the #1 DE in the league. He has alot of potential. I know it's too early to say this but he has shown every game against every team that he can beat anyone. Of course, he will now be fighting against player such as Winchester and Robicheaux but who knows what he has learned from Tuck. Maybe he told him their weaknesses.
Playoff Series MVP.
Noble was absolutely on fire in this game. After intense game, Noble proved us that he was the best. He finished the game with 1 touchdown and 93.2 Rating. Both teams have a very strong defensive back and we knew it would be a great challenge for both quarterbacks. This game was very important for both them. They needed to show who was the best QB in the league. Orosz played in the first half but Noble was clutch and stole the show. On the opening of the third quarter, Noble looked unstoppable. On the touchdown drive, he went for 8 on 10 pass completed, for 52 yards. He threw a 11 yards touchdown to Law, the only touchdown of the game. Orosz struggle to help his team to get on track. They couldn't keep up the pace of the game. Later in their game, he was able to set up a 57 yards field goal for kicksit which gave them a 6 points lead. Noble and his offense were able to kill off the clock which gave Orosz and his offense less time for possession. It was impossible for them to make the comeback and Noble was the hero of the match.
