biggest worry here would be bias and meme-ing. we've seen it happen before haha

True. You could cut down on that a little bit by having the graders pick the nominees. I wouldn't want to have the graders just pick 1st 2nd 3rd, cause that would take a lot of the fun out of it, I think.
