8) This task is exclusive to non-recreate rookies of the S22 class and later. In 400 words or more, how has your experience been in the league? Who have you met that has made your time here more fun, friendly, and exciting? Have you been satisfied with your player’s early start? What was it like being drafted for the first time? Do you have any comments or suggestions for the entire league that you think should be implemented?
So far (in two days) my experience has been good. Iv'e always liked the idea of a simulation football league, but I hadn't actually done one. It was a little daunting at first, as I had no idea what TPE was or how I could earn it or whether I was doing the whole player creation wrong. Once I had created my player and gotten started, however, the mods were very helpful. They made it clear that everything was correct and told me what I should do next. All very helpful given I had no idea how this whole system worked. I have not been drafted yet, but I am awaiting that. The discord has been good for getting a sense that it would be easy to connect with people and get answers to questions. Especially the rookie discord. I also did the rookie point task (this is to complete the last part). The point task is good, but there could be a little more clarity when it comes to examples of how to do parts 4 and 5. it seems like 90% of people have no idea how to do these two, as they both generally require you to write something about the league, which of course you don't have much to say at first. If you aren't doing that, you have to make a graphic of some kind. I have zero skills in graphic design so I'm limited to typing things. I do appreciate there being such things as the rookie point task and first free training, as these help you to get started. Without such an opportunity, you would have a harder time seeing any improvement to your player at first, so being able to quickly gain like 20TPE is very helpful. Without the rookie point task, newcomers like me would have a harder time getting a sense of the layout of the site. Doing the task gets you more comfortable with how it all works and allows you to start to get the hang of using the forums and how the league functions. It all works rather smoothly once you get the hang of it, and I hope to be able to improve to the point where I am not as terrible at this as I am right now. Overall, the whole idea is cool and seems to be a good, well run league. Also, I would recommend adding more of these point tasks exclusively for rookies, as we don't have much to talk about for the first little bit here to earn TPE. Thanks to the people who run the league!
