S23 NSFL Draft Rounds 1-5 Way too early review

The Sailfish have a pretty decent secondary, even with some old cornerbacks, he position that they really should be looking into is cornerback, with a S15 and S17 corner on their team, they need a cornerback very badly in the draft and upcoming drafts. Way too early grade: B+


They really did not have any major needs, the only position that they could really use would be a young corner to take over for when S13 CB Johnny Snuggles retires. In terms of safety, they already have three on their roster, including Magnus Valdyr and Johnny Hellzapoppin, who are both S22 draftees, so taking another safety might not have been the biggest priority, but it looks like they just selected the best available player. Way too early grade: A-


Even with an aging S15 player in Richard D'Attoria, the Liberty had other needs to fill in this draft, including Cornerback, with two S22 corners in Brandon Booker, and Jonathan Altidor. Booker is developing into a phenomenal player, while Altidor has not been developing since being drafted. If they can convince Smoothie to convert to corner, it will be a great pick, but if he stays a safety, it would be picking the best available player over a position they needed. Way too early grade: B-


Round 2 Pick 8   Baltimore Hawks select Lesean Paris Crooks Cornerback

   With the 20th pick in the draft, the Hawks select Lesean Paris Crooks, cornerback out of London. The second cornerback taken in the draft, I was surprised he was not taken earlier. While he does not fill a need for the Hawks this year, the Hawks have an aging S15 corner in Quentin Sinclair, and an S18 corner Juan Marston, who seems to have stopped developing. So while they might not get production out of him right away, he will be a fantastic cornerback in the future as long as he keeps developing. Way too early grade: A+

You said it, an impartial set of eyes. Doesnt matter, every team that passed on me made a mistake. I'm gunning down every S23 AND S22 CB out there, GM picks too(Bane and Colt). To the teams that tried to trade up to get me: "If Diamonds were easy to get, they wouldn't be worth so much". Like Cell in DBZ, I'll give them one month to get their ----- together before I F.S.U.
