*S23 Way too early draft review

Round 1 Pick 8   Sarasota Sailfish select Raphael d'Alcott Safety

   With the eight pick, and their second in the first round, the Sarasota Sailfish select Raphael d'Alcott from the Dallas Birddogs. The Sailfish have a pretty decent secondary, even with some old cornerbacks, their safeties were also pretty solid, with the S20 Jamie Nkiah being a fantastic earner, and S19 Beat, while not being the best earner, still being an active player with a gfx job. Raphael d'Alcott is a max earner, and very active with multiple media pieces. While safety was going to be a position needing a future player, the position that they really should be looking into is cornerback, with a S15 and S17 corner on their team, they need a cornerback very badly in the draft and upcoming drafts. Way too early grade: B+

So, our S22 Safety had retired, and we currently didnt have his replacement on the roster... How is this not our #1 need coming into the draft (besides maybe DL, who we had picked up already in the first)??? Not to mention we got the 2nd best TPE S in the entire draft, 1st being pick 1oa, #11 overall in the class, at pick 8, and the 3rd safety picked. No way he shouldn't be an A. We also knew CB was going to slide to the 2nd, or 3rd (which it did, and we got an amazing player in Van Perkins) and knew we could get a top corner, whereas S would go early, 5 picked in the first round, CB had 2 in the first 2 round. Not to mention how amazing Kenitoh is in the locker room.
