After a disappointing season last year with an early playoff exit, NOLA is poised to get back to the Ultimus Bowl. Our six rookies from last season have all had a year to improve, and we added Literally Just A Hexagon to our secondary to replace retired Deon Taylor. Additionally, the core of our roster is made up of players who are hitting their peak. S18 players David Rector, Marcella Toriki, Givissafare Rubbe, and Xavien Adams are joined by S19 superstars Austin McCormick and Mason Blaylock. Rector, Blaylock, and McCormick all won awards last season and are still in their primes. LB Ugarth the Dissector had a big breakout season last year, winning DROY. I think NOLA's breakout star this season will be Ed Barker. After losing wide receivers to retirement, free agency, and expansion, Ed Barker was asked to carry the load as a rookie last season. He has made huge strides in his sophomore campaign and has gone from a mediocre option to a true number one wide receiver. Through four weeks, he has over 350 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He's on pace to triple his production from last season. With the continued growth of our young roster, I am hopeful that the Second Line can have a successful season.
