Honolulu is absolutely set for the long run with the assets they have on the team currently. At quarterback, Corvo Havran holds the reins for one more season until Norfolk star, Luke Skywalker, takes over at the position. At running back, Honolulu has begun to phase out Ruff Ruff in favor of second year back, Ke’oke’o Kane-Maika’i (the current NSFL leader in total yards from scrimmage). As he begins to enter his prime, Jed Podolak provides veteran leadership for a young receiver corps that includes William Alexander, Jacoby Clay, and Daymond Brooks.

On defense, the team has a young defensive line led by Kearse who the team picked up from Yellowknife. However, the player formerly known as Phat Boi, is beginning to look like a first round bust for the team as he hasn’t improved as much as the others from his draft class since entering the league. The young linebacker corps looks outstanding. Led by veteran Mark Arianlacker, Jack Banks and Heinrich Kackpoo make up a force that should be dominant at the position group for years to come. Possibly the strongest position group looking into the future is the secondary. Jim Waters and Kane Bananana look like they’ll be the team’s future at CB, with Shawn Dawkins and Buck Thornton beginning to establish themselves as stars at safety. The rest of the league expects big things from this star studded secondary.
