Great article. I will give the counterpoint from a Wraiths Point of view. The past 8 season, we are 1-7 week one. Every single season since we have either tied or held the best overall league record, or made the Ultimus. We have been one of the most dominant franchises ever over that time, just without a trophy. It’s a running joke that week 1 doesn’t matter for us because look at this season, we are leading the division 4 games in after losing week 1 once again. You could say our lack of a trophy is evidence against us but I say making the game shows we completed the comeback but just lost 4 in a row coinflips. Still great write up and analysis!
