Can you share your secret burrito recipe?
No.
Hmmmm. I brown the meat off, add your taco seasoning to it. Cook it long enough to where the sauce is starting to thicken up some, and then pour off the grease. I like to use some Lime Cilantro rice. You can be it premade, but cooking it on your own is super simple, just add some lime juice to your rice, with a little bit of lime zest to make ti really pop. Cilantro at the end once the rice is done. Cook the rice to just past al dente. you want it to still have a little spring in its step.
You can sautee off some peppers and onions to go in it if you like, up to you. Also, if refried beans are your thing throw some of them in too. Take your burrito wrap, and warm it up till it's pliable enough to fold. Make a line about a third up the way of the burrito with your fillings and then fold it up tightly. Make sure to add plenty of cheddar cheese to the fillings in layers. My preferred order is cheese, meat, cheese, rice, cheese, refried beans (if applicable), cheese, peppers and onions, cheese. Fold that sucker tight so that it doesn't unravel..... I suggest making a batch of them at once, their easy to reheat. A pound of beef can yield 4 pretty filling burritos.
Throw em in a 350 degree oven for 7-8 minutes. Once done, pull out and top with more cheese, return to oven for another 3 minutes. Take out, allow to cool slightly before enjoying. Personally we serve ours with sour cream, salsa, and guac.... but toppings are up to you.
Enjoy!
