It seems crazy to me that the Season 17 NSFL Draft was almost a year ago, but I remember having no idea where my player would be drafted. I was one of the top earners at the time in my class so I figured I would be selected in the first round, but there were very few teams that were desperate for a wide receiver. I remember having particularly good conversations with sloth, Arizona GM at the time, and speculadora, Orange County GM at the time. Both of them were slated for later in the first round so I figured I would have to wait. I was eventually drafted by Orange County, but they actually passed on me at first. They drafted Honda Edmond, but Austin really wanted him so they essentially traded back one spot with Austin and picked me. I had a pretty wild ride of emotions watching it unfold in the stream, but I was very thrilled to join the most successful organization in league history. In hindsight if that trade had not gone through I would have likely slid into the second round because Arizona was fixated on Saba and nobody else with picks in the first needed a wide receiver. Looking back at our draft class as a whole we were small, but had a high percentage of dedicated users. S17 will likely go down as one of the more underrated draft classes in history.
