Written Option: There’s no time like the draft, both for the exciting build up beforehand and for the gamut of emotions afterwards. Reflect back on a previous DSFL or NSFL draft of your choice. In 200 words or more, go through your own experience that day. Were you expecting to go high, or to any particular team? Did you end up shocked by your draft position, good or bad? Tell us how that draft has impacted your player. If you haven’t been drafted, reflect instead on your college choices.
So for Corvo draft I knew ahead of time that I was going in the top 2. Two teams who really needed to pick up their QB of the future in Baltimore and Yellowknife had the first two picks. Yellowknife having the first overall pick and Baltimore the second overall. So heading into the draft with that knowledge was exciting, but also took a bit away from the suprise factor of a draft.
Coming into the draft I high key had a feeling, Yellowknife would end up going with Cooter Bigby, a player from user timeconsumer who is overall a great member to have and who brings a ton to the table as a user. We were both invited into the LR to see if there was a click and truth be told, I kinda really wanted to go to Baltimore, despite being open to Yellowknife aswell. So in the end I think YKW noticed this aswell and they went with Cooter.
Which at the end of the day meant I got to go to Baltimore, which was my primo draft location and it all worked out. Had I wanted to be a first overall pick? Sure who doesnt, but I was happy non the less.
The draft is a magical time and easily the best moment in a player career I would argue.
