As I am the "Kiwi Kicker" I will be the first to say that the continent of Oceania deserves a team, or more specifically the country of New Zealand deserves a team. Our capital city of Wellington already has a great sports culture featuring many different teams and sports. Rugby, Football, Basketball, and even Cricket have professional teams and arenas to play at. If the National Simulation Football League team needs to share a stadium they can but there is also room for a new stadium allowing the city to show how much a new team means to the city. Now, what do we name the team... Well, after our greatest export. The Lord of the Rings? Wrong! It's the Musical Comedy duo composed of musicians Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement, FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS! The grammy-award winning duo has done so much for our country and the "Wellington Conchords" would be a fantastic addition to our league. And even though the travel duties will be insanely hectic, It will be worth it in the long run for the future expansion of our league. The mock logo for the team is a visual take on the band name "Flight of the Conchords", where there is a musical note or "chord" with wings showing its flight capabilities, along with the name of the city and the name of the team. Who knows if this team will ever come to fruition, but this early take on a new team could absolutely be a successful one at that.
