I really liked the Royals‘ decision to start their franchise in London. Europe is probably not only a great market (no idea about that, that‘s for the guys who are better with finances than me) but also makes sure that the league can generate hundreds of millions of potential new fans that have a team to root for. So naturally I would steal the idea and locate my brand new National Simulation Football League team in Europe, or to be precise in Cologne, Germany. Let me explain why.
London already has a team in the Developmental Simulation Football League, so it would be unfair to give them another one when there is so much more room to cover. From what I read German fans are also the second-most hyped about American Football after fans from England and they have great support for their football (soccer) teams, so I‘m sure they‘d welcome an American football team with open arms. The country is also located in the middle of Europe and has good connections via plane, train and road to all its surrounding countries, which would make it easy for fans traveling from other countries to watch games there. In the long run I‘d like the league to establish a third division, something like the NFL Europe did back in the day but not as a separate league.
For the name of the new franchise, we‘re still lacking some stereotypical names like the tigers, but if you ask me we don‘t them. I would like the league to open up to new names and although the animals have absolutely no connection to the place, I just like them. So my new team will be called the Cologne Capybaras.
