I'd like to have another expansion team slipping the boundaries of North America and setting down roots in Europe. Allow me to introduce you to the Lisbon Armada. Based in Lisbon, Portugal, they would be the second team in NSFL history to be based outside of the continent of North America. (I know that Hawaii is technically part of the United States, but it's in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, so I'm giving them credit where it's due.) The Portuguese people have a long history of being seafaring traders and a powerful navy, leading us to the name Armada. I just like the idea of expanding the boundaries of our league, and if we can have a DSFL team in London (Go Royals!), we can certainly have an NSFL team in Portugal. Besides, Lisbon is an incredibly beautiful and historic city, making it a perfect backdrop for a day out at a football game. This would also hopefully help extend the popularity of American football to a new part of Europe, as places such as England and Germany already have been bitten by this bug. It seems like it would be a win-win all-around for me. Yes, I know people would be tired because of the long plane trip over the Atlantic, but if they get there a day ahead of time, they'll be able to work through the jet lag without problem.
