My hope is that I have not reached the major turning point in my career yet. In Norfolk, I was one of the better tight ends in the league in statistics and ratings, now in Baltimore in my second season, my performance can be described as nothing short of disappointing. However, this is not all my fault. Our offense just hasn't progressed the way that we have all hoped. I know everyone is trying their best, but we are mired in mediocrity. Our decent defense is being hurt by our abysmal offense. The Hawks defense is ranked 5th in the NSFL for points against which is very solid, but our offense is ranked 5th worst in points scored. With two conflicting statistics like that, it is unable to be anything but mediocre, and that's exactly what we are. I have said many times that I do not care about my personal stats if we are winning and that is truly how I feel, but when we are stagnating on offense, we need to try something new. The league as a whole is very mediocre across the board this season, with a lot of parity. This parity has allowed us to be in contention, but don't let that fool you. As I said at the start of this message, I hope the real turning point in my career has yet to come, and that my time in the NSFL so far has been a test that will make me appreciate the real turning point that is in the near future. I am fully committed to having that magic moment be with Baltimore. Go Hawks!
