The biggest turning point in Calvin Golladay's career wasn't at a milestone, but instead came soon after entering the NSFL. Having played OL his whole life, it was an easy decision, but upon learning about bots and the lack of OL in the league he became skeptical. Despite his 30 lb advantage over these bots, the beeping and clanking was rather unnerving and he soon questioned whether he'd made the correct choice. Of course, this was before joining the Fair Rub Club. The supportive group of OL reassured the incoming rookies of their natural superiority, and the Fair Rub movement spearheaded by Steg's testing made this the perfect time to enter the league as an O-lineman. Golladay was proud of his contribution in the form of a totally-not-plagiarized speech titled "We Shall Fight in the Trenches." It might not seem like a major turning point in his career, but it was the immediate positive reception that solidified his consistent activity and pride in the OL position. Without the movement, there was a strong possibility he would've changed positions, or, more likely, left the league. The welcoming environment of the Luchadores' locker room helped too, but before getting drafted there would've been lots of second-guessing of the decision to play OL at the next level. Golladay's obviously happy with the end result, and extremely grateful for those that supported him and his fellow OL early in what looks to be a promising career in the NSFL.
