Agreed. I think making the league more grind-y is really dangerous.

I brought up the idea of being able to fight regression for a lot of money in a previous thread, as it's one of the few ways the very-rich could use their money in a way that wouldn't be completely game-breaking. Even that feels a little risky though.

My thinking on something like that would be, maybe the amount of regression that hits you changes if you use the pass. So instead of 25% your 2nd season, maybe its 30, or 35, something like that. So it's not just a get out of jail free card and once the time runs out, it still hits you hard. You'd also want to limit it, maybe 2 passes per player.
