How did you do this?
Firstly I had to figure out all of the averages by real life NFL players at the combine. I used the most recent draft class because every year the prospects in my opinion improve and will only continue to. After copy and pasting every prospect who competed in this years real life combine, I had to average out using excel their values. I did this with each position. I then had to pick out which drill would correlate to which attribute, I chose Speed for 40 yard dash, Strength for Bench Press, Endurance for shuttle, Agility for 3 cone drill and Intelligence for Wonderlic. I then went into each prospects position and averaged up their strength, speed, agility, endurance and intelligence because in order to get the most realistic results I had to sort by position. Otherwise we'd have averages get skewed by the various positions. After this I then set for example in Quarterbacks, the average 40yd dash was 4.75 seconds IRL and the average speed in the NSFL QB's is 75. Therefore 57 speed meant you ran a 4.75 40 yard dash. etc. Say a quarterback had 60 speed. I would find out what 60 is as percent of 57 (it's 105.26% -100% = 5.26%) Then I found out what 5.26% of 4.75 is (.25), seeing how 60>57, I take away .25 away from 4.75 which means a 60 speed qb runs a 4.5 in the 40 yard dash.
Still good stuff, though. Different take on things, gave me a few ideas for stats stuff to do in future.
