Although the new name change will take some getting used to, I think it makes quite a bit of sense. NSFL, while kinda funny, doesn't really represent the league. So I get it. If I were to change things, I would have changed the name to something like the SFL. Simulation Football League. A simple acronym lot rolls off the tongue. I don't mind ISFL, though.
If the International Simulation Football League is indeed the new name, the next change I would make is to make the league more international. I know that we have players from all over the globe and our teams should better represent that. We have a handful of teams that are "international" between the DSFL and the ISFL, but we should make it a focus for a percentage (or all) of any expansion teams to be outside of the United States. Except for my expansion Wichita Warriors, that is. Hell, if I get to make the rules then I'm going to go ahead and give myself an exception.
Beyond that, my biggest "complaint" has been the ease of use of the message board, especially for new players. A system to streamline things like predictions, activity checks, trivia, and all the other weekly tasks would help quite a bit. Although, from the new announcements it looks like a system like that is taking shape. That's great!
All in all, I think the league is in a good place. Could it be better? Sure. But the fact that the league continues to evolve is a good sign of things to come.
