Oh man oh man I hate this PT. No offense to it but its a loaded option. There's a lot I would potentially change, but with a lot of it I don't have a better suggestion and I HATE bitching about stuff if I don't have a better alternative. It just feels dumb. I'll pick two things to ramble about I guess. The first is the sim engine, something I have way too much experience in and despise. I don't have a better option however, but man do I hate this thing. It doesn't work right, its mysterious, its got random things that I'm convinced are hidden attributes. Its a literal garbage can of a sim engine. We do what we can though. My second biggest pet peeve with the league is actually DSFL specific. In what is essentially meant to be a developmental league there is way too much of a focus on winning. Not that we shouldn't try to win - putting your best product on the field (within reason) is part of motivating new players to be invested in the league. That being said, in the last few seasons it seems like winning has become the major motivation - over building a strong LR. This just feels wrong to me, our job as DSFL GMs and really just players in general who are all in some way effecting the DSFL, is to help develop players. That doesn't always come from winning - its part of it - but making sure your players know how to update, are getting involved in the league through media, graphics, and jobs, etc is more important than winning. Oh well, I'm just rambling now but man it frustrates me. Build a good LR and the winning will come. Don't try to win first - that just creates issues.
