My only concern with this approach is that it it could hurt retention. If media and other income sources are based on percent of salary, there would be a disparate impact on new players. New players would have to work multiples harder to make the same strides as anyone else.
While that is kind of your point, I think it would dissuade many new players from sticking around long term. New players already can struggle with media posts that are league-related, etc. because they have no idea what the history of the league is. Or perhaps they don't have any other Sim league experience and are still very overwhelmed at the basics and the rules of the ISFL. Regardless, I don't think we want to create an atmosphere that max earning requires new players to become a slave to the grind.
When push comes to shove, we are community. To be honest, I'd rather rookies spend their time on discord interacting with their teammates and other members of the league than pound away on their keyboard all week, every week just so they can earn Tier 6 equipment next year.
