Because sim leagues have been around a very long time and this is a very normal timeframe for them to operate in. I think there's definitely opportunity for a fast paced sim league that does each season in 2 weeks or something like that if you'd like to make one.

That also sounds like a lot of work. Slower pacing is easier

Yup. You'd have to do something like very limited TPE tasks for your PPT team to have less work. Very limited contract and scheme options for your GMs to have less work. Lots of offline sims and more just updating indexes for your simmers and streamers. It could definitely be done but would have to be a league designed around it.
