A not so fun trivia fact for Ben Slothlisberger is that when he won the Ultimini with the Tijuana Lucadores in Season 22, only one touchdown was scored by either team in the entire game, and it was a rushing touchdown by Richard Gilbert. It was definitely not a big day for either team's offense, and the passing game was especially bad for both sides. The three quarterbacks in the championship game combined to complete 31 passes in 62 attempts, amassing 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. A crazy bad passing performance by everyone on the day! This was after an opening round game for the Luchadores which saw both teams combine for 1 passing touchdown and no interceptions, so this shows how weird the DSFL can be one game to the next. It also shows that quarterbacks weren't really going off in that playoffs for whatever reason. Also, somehow Ben Slothlisberger was the worst quarterback of the game by far (I guess that should not be too surprising for anyone who paid attention to his DSFL career). He had a paltry 21 quarterback rating thanks to only completing 5 of his 15 passes and handing out one interception. It wasn't like his rushing game was helping Tijuana either, he had two rushes for 1 total yard! Pitiful. But somehow the Tijuana defense was able to hold on and Slothlisberger somehow got a Ultimini ring after that disgusting performance. Hopefully not many people will remember his performance but just remember he won.
