When I joined Yellowknife I made a sig - you can see it below. One of the GMs at the time was Shady, who particularly loved it. He dropped a few hints that it would be great if I could do one for him. But it had ended up being a much bigger undertaking than intended, having to recolour by hand helmet logos frame by frame was pretty painstaking, and I'd made it much longer than I should have. So After Effects kept crashing when trying to render the video. All this is to say that despite his requests I was unmoved and couldn't be convinced to make him one.
Then when the charity drive began, Jpach came to me asking if I'd do some sort of animation for one of the auction items. My initial response was to say no, the memories of my sig were still fresh in my memory. But then I remembered Shady's requests and thought if someone else is keen we can get this guy to donate some money. And that's how I cunningly got Shady to donate $28 to charity. Now all I have to do is kill myself once more making him a sig. Everyone's a loser. Except for charity I suppose.
