I guess this is the perfect time to explain how I actually ended up here. So, I've been a big gamer fan for most of my life. I used to watch G4 and TechTv nonstop, I would watch all types of longplays and playthroughs, I still have Tips and Tricks and US Playstation magazines, and I've been a semi-serious e-sports fan. Last year I started watching a hardcore sim football league on television(one one of those weird cable channels) that basically filled the void of all my failed online association/gm leagues in football and basketball video games. One evening, I finally decide I have nothing to lose and search around to sign up. I could not remember the exact link so I google searched the league and yes, I ended up on the NSFL website.
Fast Forward, I found both sites and joined both. I was unsure if the other league was worth it without paying for a higher tier player. I ended up sidetracked with real life issues and had already started the DSFL draft interviews here, but then had to step aside. I talked to a few teams, Mithrandir for Tijuana, Exilizer for London, iStegosauruz for Dallas, Blasoon for Norfolk, Mori for Myrtle Beach. Now, when I came back, I was not fully committed, which was further deterred by viewing gen chat in discord(I had never been in discord before).
For the funny stuff, I still have unread messages from Mori that I never got back to, and I forgot to respond to TVC's discord messages for Minnesota. I didn't realize how the schedule worked, so I planned to set aside some time the day before the draft stream to answer the questions real early in the day. When I was ready to get around to it, I realized that the drafting had been completed already, so I left them be because: A. There was no way to change my draft selection B. As a reminder of how it all started.
I never joined any locker rooms prior to the draft because I felt weird not knowing anyone and possibly joining a team that wouldn't draft me that would become my rivals. I figure this is a decent way to clear the air with all the scouts and DSFL GM's who thought I might have purposely snubbed them way back in March.
