I was pretty nervous putting together my first ever podcast episode. It was something that I'd become super interested in since I'd discovered the podcasts being produced by other league members. I was scared to put my voice out into the open as a young player in the league, afraid no one would really care to listen and that I might not have much to say in the first place. When the idea came up in a general chat shortly after the huge S22 NSFL Draft for a review of the draft. I made the decision then to run with the idea, asking for any and all willing guests to make a draft review podcast. In the end I was able to bring together an excellent group of people, having myself, CLG Rampage, ADwyer87, and Colabear all together in a chat to review the best and worst picks of the first 5 rounds of the draft. I learned a lot from going through the process of making the podcast and the reactions afterwards. The ideas I came to the show were framed primarily by my understanding of mainstream sports media, and we went through the show calling out picks as "steals" and "busts." The bust title especially led to some negativity, and I have continued to watch and learn how easily a person from any level in this draft and how draft picks that I might disagree with off the bat can come back to prove me wrong, and how obvious best picks in a draft can fall apart due to any number of issues. This is the biggest thing I've come to appreciate about this league, just how open and accessible it is for anyone to turn around and get a second chance to prove themselves as a great player in this league.
