This story happened to Albert Ruschmann while he was still in college, specifically his sophomore year. Little known fact, one of Albert Ruschmann's distant relatives, Henry Ruschmann of Bernardsville, New Jersey invented glitter. Yes, glitter, the one that Ke$ha uses like it is going out of style. Anyway, at some point during Albert's college career, he shared this fact with fellow teammates at Rutgers, thus earning him the name of "Glitter Critter". Although not too fond of it at first, it eventually stuck (much like glitter). After every big sack or tackle he made, Ruschmann would imitate pulling glitter out from his back pocket and sprinkling it on the defender as a reminder to them that the Glitter Critter had found them once and will find them again. At the start of his junior year, Ruschmann got the bright (and sparkly) idea of using actual glitter in the season opener. It was against an FCS opponent so he felt very confident that there would be plenty of opportunities for him to bust out his signature move. So the game starts and sure enough about halfway through the first quarter, Albert records a huge sack on 3rd and 6 to force 4th down. Figuring then was as good of an opportunity as ever, he pulls out a small baggie of glitter he had hidden in the elastic waistline of his pants and proceed to sprinkle it on the quarterback's chest while he was still down on the ground. However, the quarterback started to sit up just as Ruschmann started sprinkling, and glitter got into both of his eyes. Ruschmann was immediately flagged by the referees for "use of a prop" and taken out of the remainder of the game by his head coach. Not exactly Ruschmann's "brightest" moment, but now that he has been drafted, it makes for an entertaining story.
