So, a little known trivia fact about Immanuel Blackstone is that Blackstone is half Palestinian and half English. His father, Solomon Al-Farabi, immigrated to the United States the year before he was born along with Blackstone's three older half siblings. Solomon Al-Farabi's wife unfortunately died in a traffic accident under circumstances which are suspect to say the least. When Solomon Al-Farabi was in the process of immigrating, he enlisted the help of an immigration lawyer named Anastasia Blackstone. Anastasia Blackstone is of English descent but he family has lived in the United States for many many generations. Anastasia helped Solomon through the immigration process and the rest, as they say, is history. The new family settled near Dearborn, Michigan where they would be able to practice their Muslim faith fully. Anastasia and Solomon eventually had three children together, the first of which was Immanuel Blackstone. Blackstone grew up proud of his mixed cultural heritage and enjoyed learning about his parents' pasts. Eventually, when Blackstone demonstrated an impressive inclination for the gridiron and was drafted to the DSFL and then the NSFL (now the ISFL), he became only the second Muslim player in the league. He hopes to be able to blaze a new trail for those who come after him.
