We wait 7 days after replies stop because that allows for any discussions to continue and for the writer to make sure it's finalized.  Maybe we could move that to 5 days, but I'm not sure how much a difference that would really make.  We can't do next day grading or same day grading, that would be too unreasonable for the graders.

I think you should just grade the articles when the author is ready. Making the author wait for discussion to finish is not a good system considering players depend on this money to train with. I didn't realize the media was purposely not graded to accommodate conversation, but that explains a lot. I do like the idea of nurturing conversation but couldn't you just leave the thread unlocked and move it once graded?
