I distinctly remember the first trivia point task I took part in when I entered the league as it was related to International Women’s Day which was a nice way to be welcomed into the league. I understand the majority did not enjoy them, but I will miss trivia as a relaxed point task that I enjoyed for those reasons. Thank you for giving it a nice send off in this fashion.
Now for a fun fact about something that happened to one of my players I have to go into a bit of background first. When I signed up for the site I knew ahead of time that defensive tackle was a position that was highly valued because people did not really like to play it. So in a quest to make an appropriate background for my defensive tackle I looked up some of the best defensive tackles in my opinion Cortez Kennedy, Haloti Ngata, Kevin Williams, and Vince Wilfork to be specific. Doing this I discovered that Cortez and Kevin were both born in Arkansas so I decided my defensive tackle Magnus Rikiya would also be from Arkansas.
Now according to the People from Arkansas category on the wiki there are only two other players from Arkansas. Ultimus champion and most valuable player award winner Cooter Bigsby, and one of my favorite safeties in the league Wesley Eriksen. While Magnus went to the University of Washington; Wesley went to the University of Arkansas. However they would end up in the same location for the prospect bowl as they were both a part of the competitive Baltimore Muleriders. They would also then go on to be drafted to the Norfolk Seawolves together which is where the user behind Wesley and I became friends. It was also a conversation in that locker room that helped lead me to discover all this. Despite being in a wide world of a simulation it can be a surprisingly small world at the end of the day.
Also another bonus fun fact that could be interesting trivia content. There are two players named Magnus in the history of the International Simulation Football League according to the TPE Tracker. Magnus Rikiya a member of the S22 draft class and Magnus Valdyr another member of the S22 draft class. While they have never played on a team together at the professional level; they were both Washington Huskies during their college careers. Also with a simple digit swap they would share a birthday as Rikiya was born April 4, 2013 while Valdyr was born April 3, 2014. Which Is something that I think is pretty neat since I have never interacted with the user behind Valdyr to my knowledge.
