(S24) - PT 1 - Trivia Night

My story is about how I came across this league. Many of you know that Mithrandir is a friend of mine in real life. Well, one day at like 3 in the morning, he sent a group chat with me and my buddy a media post that he had made for this league. I started to read it, got really confused, and asked him what the heck was going on...Turns out he sent it to us by mistake, but it led to him telling us about this weird football league where he does homework to make fake money to train his football player who is actually a dot. I thought this is great kindling to mock him later and stored it away in the back of my mind. Well, fast forward a month or two and I'm now fully quarantining, working from home, and trying to find something to do between work calls so that I can stay sane in my new coworker-free environment (otherwise known as my guest room). I began to think about how I miss sports and the unthinkable happened, I remembered Mith's nerdball league and wondered if it might be fun...Quarantine really has made my brain foggy...Well, all that to say, a few texts and several hours later, I had made my own nerdball player, joined the nerdball discord and, a few weeks later Mith drafted me and nerdvana was reached. I am now proudly and fully a professional nerdball player and am looking forward to making a run at DSFL DPOY in this my second season! I can't believe it, but I'm so thankful I opened the door to this community and can't wait to keep on grinding out my homework so that my little dot gets all the sacks.
