Asher Montain has had an interesting storyline through his career thus far. While I doubt it will continue on, the fact that he pretty much defined his DSFL career is impressive enough. When Asher was picked up off waivers, he joined the London Royals. The London Royals was ranked last in Power Projections at the beginning of the season and started off rather well, but then went on a 5 game losing streak. It was at that point that Montain joined the team. Immediately following Asher joining the starting lineup, we broke the streak and managed to clinch a playoff spot. But the story doesn't end there. In Season 22, London then upset the Minnesota Ducks *at home* and went on to the Ultimini. Unfortunately, London lost to Tijuana and the fairytale was over. Fast forward to Montain's draft season with Kansas City, and a similar story happened. Kansas City went from last in the Conference in Season 22 to leading the division in Season 23, and repeating his Ultimini appearance. Although he lost again, his had a very interested DSFL career where he made back-to-back Ultimini appearances on teams that entirely flipping the script. While it is doubtful that this championship streak will continue in Honolulu, hopefully Asher will be able to at least continue his streak of playing a part in a successful ending... even if the ending is a few seasons away.
