One of Howletts earlier accomplishments was when he had an open lane and spotted a gap in between a team mate and the opposing teams member. So I was intending on using a lateral behind the two players but instead I lateraled the ball as I was being hit by an opposing teams players helmet in amongst a tackle and by doing so I missed the teammates hands and it bounced off an opponents helmet and then fumbled onto a opposing team members foot, breaking it and slicing it open. It was graphic, it was gory, the player was horey. It was a really disappointing moment in Howletts early career but he recovered, and by doing so he made himself stronger and better as a player. He went on that year in college to make himself known as an alpha to fear, but that moment and the career he ended early will forever haunt him, which was his teammate of course, if you're following along still. It was clearly a mistake and a freak accident but it didn't stop the teammate from blaming Howlett in what should've been an avoidable accident. Needless to say, Howlett has gone on to have a great career thus far in the DSFL and has good prospects leading into the NSFL, playing for the Baltimore hawks.
