It would link to the page but not link to the post like the updates want, I'm on android. So maybe you've cracked the codex but for me every time I coped the URL after I posted it would just link to the page.

This might be because the URL getting copied on mobile is just the general page. Not using mobile myself, it's easy enough for me to say "head to the post number and assumingly hold it down to copy the exact post link" but idk if that will work for you. I do know that there is a quite a few people who solely use their mobile and don't have this sort of problem so maybe someone can truly help you better than i can.
