Really good writeup and really interesting!

I will argue efficiency over volume stats particularly for RB however. The sim prefers RBBC to primary back for the reason you said with amount of carries, so it is always better for win rate to have 2 good RBs and run a committee. The sim just doesn’t really like primary back. From there, the actual thing that’s gonna separate you in terms of win rate from the other RBs in an RBBC is how efficient you are with your carries. If you are getting 15 carries a game and getting 5.9 yards per carry, you’ve done more for your team than someone who is dragging down your win rate as a primary back and averaging a sub 4 YPC. Ultimately I guess I prefer efficiency over volume stats because it shows the talent of the running back and how much the RB is helping their team, where anyone can get volume stats in the right situation.

Fair, though in this era, there really aren't any examples of full-on primary back usage anymore so I guess it's a moot point all-in-all. Closest to full on bellcow would probably be Hanyadi but YKW just runs a lot in general. Either way, 4.5 yards per carry as well as his impact in the passing game is far from dragging the team down. Hanyadi averages around 23-24 carries a game, but his efficiency would be a lot higher if he had less carries.
