The Tijuana Luchadores are coming off of a fairly average to poor season 23 campaign where the finished 6-8, three full games behind Dallas and four behind Norfolk.
To try and right the ship the Tijuana Luchadores had a very busy off-season scouting only players who they felt fit the mold. On the back of the ISFL draft they were thrown a huge bonus when a large number of their biggest impact players were sent back down to spend another year in the DSFL.
The Luchadores must have seen this as a sign to push for the title as instead of drafting fresh prospects they spent a large number of draft picks on waiver picks and recreates giving them a headstart on the competition.
The tactic seems to have helped the team start off well with the Tijuana Luchadores seeing away the Dallas Birddogs rather handily in the first game of the season.
Noone highlights the Luchadores intentions better than the pick up of Tex Wrecks - whilst he might not be as active as some of the people who joined in the off-season his TPE of 183 going into the second game is a sight to behold when compared to the majority of other S25 rookies.
The Luchadores stock is definitely rising but will it plateau during the year or will they rode that wave to the ultimini?
