The Hahalua’s are raring to go in the locker room. They cheer, the shout, their energy infects anyone who enters the room.
“And what have we done?!” shouts Jack Banks, the tackling machine. “3 WINS! We’re on our way up, boys!”
“That’s right!” shouts Arianlacher. “I mean, I got 10 tackles first game ALONE! And my man Waters here go 9! Kearse got 8!”
“The defense is killing it,” says Skywalker, the rookie QB. “You guys save my butt all the time.”
“C’mon man, you’re doing pretty good! You got a 125.3 rating in week 3. You threw 3 TD’s in Week 5! That’s not too shabby for a rookie!”
Skywalker looks determined. “I can do better! And I’m only getting those points because you guys are getting those interceptions. Who’s even heard of 9 interceptions in 5 games? That last interception by Banks man, with 7 seconds left in the game was beautiful!”
Banks grins. “We’re all killing it guys! We were the new expansion team and very few people took us seriously. And we’re killing it!”
“We just need to keep killing it,” inserted Arianlacher. “And we will! It’s our year, boys and girls. Let’s bring that beautiful Ultimus trophy home!”
