For the Minnesota Grey Ducks, we have a pretty elite defense that is filled with some major award nominees. I will touch on three starting with the returning Defensive Player of the Year and Linebacker of the Year Alejandro Chainbreaker. He has opened the season with a monstrous stat line making him a top candidate for Linebacker and Defensive player of the year again. Leading the nation in tackles and tied in first place with leading sacks so far into the season is a great way to start the year and to continue building on. In second, we got the man himself Rashad Hilliard. Starting the season off slow we thought he was just a one-hit-wonder in his rookie season but has finally found his stride in the last game. He is in the running with a whopping seven-way tie for second-highest passes deflected, and in his last game he came up in the box to make a play forcing a fumble and recovering it to tie for second among cornerbacks in forced fumbles and fumble recoveries. Last but certainly not least we have Wasrabi Gleel coming in as a rookie and making an immediate impact for the Grey Ducks this season. As a rookie he is fifth in the nation in tackles, is one of five linebackers with an interception, has two tackle for losses, two sacks, and three passes deflected. What else is there to say, the kid is an animal and can accomplish all this while Chainbreaker is on the field next to him.
