Week 3, and the Hahaluas had one win and one loss under their belt. They were going heading over to the SaberCats home stadium, and tension was high amongst the team with most of the stress centered around Luke Skywalker, the rookie quarterback on the team.
The game opened with a field goal by Powers, and Skywalker took a breath of relief. At least they had some points on the board. The Sabercats responded quickly with a touchdown. The stress had returned. Skywalker threw a touchdown. The stress decreased. Lackson runs in another touchdown. New stress. Skywalker knows he has to keep a cool head. He throws another touchdown. Powers adds two field goals, but Skywalker stresses, knowing they need to be up by at least a score. Kane-Maika runs in a touchdown. Relief. Skywalker throws pass after pass, watching the SaberCats creep closer and closer to the Hahaluas. They are always too close for comfort. Lackson gets in yet another touchdown with 1 minute left in the game. The SaberCats are only a field goal away. The final 60 seconds count down, and Skywalker does his best to manage the rest of the game. The game ends. The crowd cheers. Skywalker looks up at the board, and the last four quarters come rushing back.
Skywalker did it. He threw two touchdowns. He threw 230 yards, averaging 14.4 yards per pass. He completed two-thirds of his passes. He has a passer rating of 125.3. He just played the performance of the year. And now that the stress is over, he barely remembers any of it. Time for an ice cold ginger ale, and time to relax with his family before the next game.
