As we are nearing the conclusion of the season, it is clear to see some of the front runners for the awards start to pull away from the rest of the pack. The Sabercats team has a few potential players that are eligible and deserving of the nod for the awards. The first of which is Deondre Thomas-Fox, who I believe could win a few awards that include Breakout Player of the Year and Wide Receiver of the Year. DTF after the 10th game of the season has 1000 yards, 4 touchdowns, and the highest average yards per catch, which all point to at least being considered for break out of the year as he has been less than impressive through the earlier part of his career. Another player that deserves recognition for an award includes Phillip Stein, who I believe is easily a contender for both Rookie of the Year and Performance of the Year. Phillip Stein is tied for the lead in interceptions and also has a good number of pass defenses, which should give him the nod for Rookie of the year. He also easily deserves Performance of the year has he propelled the Sabercats to a win with his 3 interceptions that all occurred in 3 consecutive drives in the third quarter to snuff out the floundering Hawks.
