In a rollercoaster of a season so far for my team the Kansas City Coyotes, a few people have performed really well. But possibly none more so than my fellow rookie, offensive lineman Clay Stallworth.

So far Clay has been a beast in the trenches. He already has the single game record for pancakes for both the coyotes and the DSFL league as a whole with thirteen against the royals in week seven. Through seven games he has forty three pancakes, which is eleven more than any other player. He’s on pace to smash the current single season record of sixty seven pancakes, which was set nineteen seasons ago, by nearly twenty. He has also not allowed a single sack through seven games. To put it simply this man is like Andre the giant, an immovable object.

 At this point in the season he is the clear front runner for offensive linemen of the year. In my opinion he could also be in contention for the offensive performance of the year, it may not be a flashy skill position performance with over a 100 yards and a few touchdowns but are you going to get a more impressive performance than thirteen pancakes in a single game? I would argue no.
