As we are at the halfway point of this interesting DSFL season, there have been many great personal campaigns of individual players among the 8 DSFL teams. A few of these campaigns have garnered the attention of the voters and those who are responsible of awarding these players of prestigious awards. I believe that one of these awards, the Defensive Rookie of the Year, should be awarded to none other than my defensive teammate here in Minnesota, Wasrabi Gleel. I deeply believe that Gleel should overwhelmingly win the Defensive Rookie of the Year because of a few reasons. The first reason is that he is having arguably not only one of the greatest rookie seasons but also regular seasons in DSFL history. I say that because: he is second in total tackles at 67 behind the defending DPOY Chainbreaker, he has 3 TFLs, 3 Sacks, 1 INT, and 3 Passes Defended all as a Linebacker. In addition, his presence on the field, along with Chainbreaker, leads to a turnover producing, and generally disruptive defensive which will keep us in games. Also, he is a great and super witty locker room presence and always boosts our morale with his humor! Thus, all in all, I believe that Gleel should be an instant lock to win Defensive Rookie of the Year!
