How excited are you to be a member of the Outlaws? What are your thoughts?
Oh man just so excited, joining the world champs and being able to (hopefully) walk directly into a starting job almost sounds too good to be true but it's really happening. I love this team already, and everything that's happened since the draft has confirmed I'm in the right place.
How did you feel about where you were drafted?
I mean it's no big secret that I dropped way farther than I, or anyone else, expected. I'm not gonna lie there were some tense moments on draft night but it all ended up perfect.
Are you excited to get going with King Bronko at the helm in Arizona?
I really am. He's a great quarterback and he's got a ring -- and better than that he's still growing as a player. I can't wait to see what me and him can do.
What other play makers do you see making an impact with you on the offense in Arizona?
I gotta go with my fellow wideouts, I think the three of us are EXTREMELY underrated as a group. Kendrick gets no respect, people say that he's "inactive" when he's easily over 200 TPE? AsylumParty is like the best fellow rookie ever, and yet I saw we were ranked as the next-to-last rated WR core. Not that preseason rankings mean anything, but what the hell.
Did you have an idea of where you were going to end up going into the draft?
I had a feeling it was going to be Yellowknife or Arizona, when Arizona selected Evans I kind of wasn't sure but it ended up all working out. I wish no harm to Yellowknife, Bzerkap was wonderful throughout the whole process. He will regret not choosing me though -- but that's alright.
Who do you think was the best pick in the S2 draft?
I have to say myself, it's all about that confidence.
What's the most exciting part of the NSFL year to you?
Honestly as this is my first season it's hard to get a gauge on it. All I know is I'm extremely excited for the start of the regular season. Almost as hard of a wait as the wait for the draft was.
What's the most helpful advice you've received during preparation for the college to NSFL transition?
Just to relax and enjoy the process and try to not rush anything. It got hairy on draft night but it all worked out and I'm in the right place.
What sets the Outlaws apart from other teams in the league?
The locker room. I'm convinced. It's such a team-first environment and all the players seem really easily approchable and fun to be around. It makes the process of being a rookie so much easier, and other teams in the NSFL should take note.
