Griff’s welcome to the league basically happened when he came over from the Albion League of Blood Bowl to this American League and this American Football thing. Griff Oberwald was a star, a man among children if you will, over in Albion and while playing Blood Bowl. Here, he’s just another joe schmoe, if you will, and is just another normal human. Coming over, and not being the star of the team has really been a eye opening experience. Griff has had to fight for every possession, every play that he is on the field, and he has had to fight repeatedly to become one of the greatest. Last season he was brought up for the Chicago Butchers, and had an interesting season. This season, Griff looked to take a more open role in the offense, but that all changed when the Chicago Butchers brought in Bender Rodriguez. It has thrown Griff further down the depth chart, and all he can really do is keep fighting and grinding to continue to attempt to become a great wide receiver over here, like he is over in Albion. It is an uphill battle for Griff, but if he keeps his head down and keeps fighting for it, it will come to fruition.
